DJ-JD at Sutra Nightclub - Review *KornCentral Exclusive*

Saturday 03 July 2010 - 19:11:27

Jonathan Davis has had quite of a list for him.

- Overcoming personal demons? Check.

- Multi-talented Musician. Check.

- Member of a multi-platinum selling rock band. Check..

- Write a score for a move that debuted #1 at the box office? Check.

- Voice of a misunderstood generation and letting them know that there’s light at the end of the tunnel and saving a ton of lives in the process? Check

He can now add DJ’ing to his list.

Jonathan Davis came to Orange County’s “Sutra nightclub” on Friday night to a packed capacity crowd with his “DJ-JD” set.

The KORN front-man started his set around 12 midnight to packed dance floor and proceeded to rock the crowd away. His dj’ing set included songs from yesterday and today’s hip-hop/pop songs ranging from Usher to Ludacris to E-40 to Egyptian Lover. One of the moments that stood out his set was Digital Underground’s “The Humpty Dance”, as he was bouncing around in the dj booth while the song was playing. Unlike some celebrity dj’s, Jonathan clearly knew how to read his crowd and keep everyone dancing the night away in his rocking set from start to finish. Jonathan would be done with his set by 1:45am ending with Jay-Z’s “Dirt Off Your Shoulder” before being brisked away by security to his VIP area.

Make sure you catch Jonathan on the Rockstar Mayhem Festival this summer and pick up the new Korn album, “Korn III: Remember Who You Are” in stores July 13th.
